You can manage your installed extensions at any time by going to **More** () > **Extensions** > **Manage Extensions** in Chrome.

### Step 2 — Connect your knowledge base using the API key
1. Click the Document360 icon in your Chrome toolbar. A side panel appears with the API key field.
2. Navigate to **Connections** > **Extensions** in the left navigation bar of the Knowledge base portal.
3. On the **Chrome** extension tile, click **Details**.
4. The Chrome details pop-up appears with an **Internal integration token** key.
5. Click the **Copy** icon to copy the token.
6. Paste the key into the Document360 launcher in Chrome and click **Save**.
Your knowledge base is now connected and accessible from any Chrome tab.

## Feature highlights
### Easy launch and customization
Once connected, click the Document360 icon in the Chrome extension toolbar to open the side panel. You can toggle the panel to appear on the left or right side of the browser window — the default is the right side.
### Quick launch label
When you close the Document360 side panel, a quick launch label appears on the right edge of your browser window. Click the label to reopen the panel on the same tab. You can drag the label along the vertical axis to position it wherever is convenient, or remove it by hovering over it and clicking the **Close (X)** button.
### Page Help
This is the default tab when you open the extension. It shows your most recently searched articles and lets you search for articles by keyword. As you type, matching results appear in real time. Click any article to open it in reader view within the panel.
The following options are available in reader view:
- **Copy** — copies the full article content to your clipboard.
- **Open in new tab** — opens the article in your knowledge base in a new browser tab.
- **Expand** — expands the reader view panel for easier reading.
### Knowledge base view
Click the **Knowledge base** tab in the extension panel to browse your full knowledge base structure — categories, subcategories, and articles — directly from the panel. The structure mirrors the tree view in the Document360 portal. Click any article to open it in reader view.

## Remove the extension
To remove the Document360 extension from Chrome, you can either:
- Visit the Document360 page in the Chrome Web Store and click **Remove from Chrome**, then confirm by clicking **Remove**.

- Right-click the Document360 icon in the Chrome toolbar, select **Remove from Chrome**, and click **Remove** in the confirmation prompt.

- **Generate a dedicated API key** for the Chrome extension rather than reusing a key from another integration. This makes it easier to revoke access for the extension specifically without affecting other connected tools.
- **Position the quick launch label** at a spot on the screen that doesn't overlap with the toolbar or content area of the apps you use most. The label is draggable, so take a moment to find a placement that stays out of the way.
- **Use the Knowledge base view tab** when you need to browse or navigate by category structure, and **Page Help** when you know what you're searching for. Knowing which tab to reach for saves time during active work.
