It offers heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys that help you understand how users interact with your site and identify opportunities to improve their experience. Integrating Hotjar with Document360 gives you behavior analytics and feedback data on your knowledge base visitors through heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and an incoming feedback assistant. --- ## Before you begin - You need a Hotjar account. - You need your **Hotjar Site ID**. See [How to find your Hotjar Site ID](/docs/hotjar#how-to-find-your-hotjar-site-id) below. --- ## Access your Hotjar Site ID The Hotjar ID is a unique code obtained from the Hotjar application. It is required to connect Hotjar with Document360. 1. From the Hotjar overview page, click **Get set up** in the left navigation pane. 2. In the Document360 portal, navigate to **Connections** () > **Integrations** () in the left navigation bar. 2. Select **Hotjar** from the list of integrations and click **Add**. The **Add new integration** panel appears. 3. Choose a configuration type: **Basic configuration:** sets up a standard integration using your Hotjar Site ID. NOTE The Hotjar ID is a unique code obtained from the Hotjar application. It is required to connect Hotjar and Document360 in the knowledge base portal. **Custom configuration:** sets up an advanced integration with custom events added to a snippet code. - **Description:** enter a description for this integration. - **Hotjar ID:** enter your Hotjar Site ID. - **Description:** enter a description for this integration. - **Snippet code:** paste your custom snippet code. 4.
