There is no setting to turn these actions off, but you can hide any of them with custom CSS. NOTE This is a project-level implementation. It affects **all workspaces** within the project. --- ## When to use this Use this customization when you want to: - Stop readers from sending your article content to external AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claude. - Keep internal or partner-facing documentation from being opened in third-party tools. - Show a shorter **More options** menu with only the actions your readers need. --- ## Before you begin - You need access to **Settings** () > **Knowledge base site** > **Site customization** > **Custom CSS & JavaScript** in the Knowledge base portal. - This is a **project-level** change that affects all workspaces within the project. It cannot be scoped to a single workspace. - **Open in ChatGPT** and **Open in Claude** appear only in public projects and in public content in mixed projects. **Copy page** and **View as Markdown** appear in all project types. For more information, see [Knowledge base site overview](https://docs.document360.com/docs/knowledge-base-site-overview). - Hiding these actions removes the buttons from the menu. It does not stop readers from selecting and copying article text. --- ## How to hide AI actions in the More options menu 1. Navigate to **Settings** () > **Knowledge base site** > **Site customization** > **Custom CSS & JavaScript** in the Knowledge base portal. 2. In the **CSS** tab, paste the snippet for the actions you want to hide. To hide individual actions, use one or more of these snippets: ``` /* Hide Copy page */ .article-actions-menu-ai-item:has(.fa-copy) { display: none !important; } /* Hide View as Markdown */ .article-actions-menu-ai-item:has(.fa-markdown) { display: none !important; } /* Hide Open in ChatGPT */ .dropdown-divider + .article-actions-menu-ai-item:has(svg) { display: none !important; } /* Hide Open in Claude */ .article-actions-menu-ai-item:has(svg) + .article-actions-menu-ai-item:has(svg) { display: none !important; } ``` To hide all four actions and the dividers above them, use this snippet instead: ``` .article-actions-menu .article-actions-menu-ai-item, .article-actions-menu .dropdown-divider:has(+ .article-actions-menu-ai-item) { display: none !important; } ``` 1. Click **Save**. --- ## Outcome **Before** The **More options** menu shows **Copy page**, **View as Markdown**, **Open in ChatGPT**, and **Open in Claude** below the standard options such as **Print**. **After** The actions you hid no longer appear. If you used the snippet that hides all four, the menu shows only the standard options, such as **Print**. --- ## Best practices - **Hide only what you need.** **Copy page** and **View as Markdown** help readers who use AI tools of their own choosing. Consider hiding only **Open in ChatGPT** and **Open in Claude** if your concern is third-party assistants. - **Test as a reader.** Open an article on your knowledge base site in a private browser window and open the **More options** menu to confirm the result. In private projects, **Copy page** and **View as Markdown** are visible only to logged-in readers. - **Recheck after site updates.** The snippets target the menu's current structure. If an action reappears after a Document360 release, review the snippet. - **To revert, delete the snippet.** Navigate back to the **CSS** tab in **Custom CSS & JavaScript**, remove the snippet, and click **Save**. The actions reappear immediately. ## Related - [July 2026 - 12.6.2](/july-2026-1262.md) - [Knowledge base site overview](/knowledge-base-site-overview.md) - [Custom CSS](/custom-css.md)
