Google Analytics is a widely used analytics tools that lets you view website usage metrics such as conversions, traffic sources, bounce rates, exit percentages, and more.

You can integrate Google Analytics with Document360 to know how your users interact with your knowledge base site, highly searched articles, and user locations.

To enable the Google Analytics integration, you'll need a Google Analytics account and a Google Analytics ID.

Note: You will need administrative privileges on your Google Analytics account to access the ID.


Document360 + Google Analytics

You can integrate the Document360 knowledge base with Google Analytics in simple steps.

  1. From the Document360 portal, go to SettingsKnowledge base siteIntegrations

  2. Click the New integration button at the top right

  3. Select Google Analytics from the integrations available in the Integration panel.

  4. You can either configure with Basic configuration or Custom configuration

    • Basic configuration - Configure a standard integration of Google Analytics with your Knowledge base.

    To configure with Basic configuration:
    a. Type a Description
    b. Type the Google Analytics ID

    What is Google Analytics ID?

    Google Analytics ID is an alphanumeric code that you can get from the Google Analytics application, and you use them for Document360+Google Analytics Integration in the Document360 Knowledge base portal.

    • Custom configuration - Configure an advanced integration of Google Analytics with your Knowledge base by adding custom events in snippet code.

    To configure with Custom configuration:
    a. Type a Description
    b. Type the desired snippet code

  5. If required, you can restrict or enable the Google Analytics to the users with the Advanced insertion rules option.

  6. Ensure that the Status toggle is enabled

  7. Click on the Add button


How to get Google Analytics ID?

Open your Google Analytics accountAdmin (The gear icon in the bottom left ) → Property SettingsTracking Code. This opens the Tracking ID Info page with the snippet, and the Tracking ID is what we need to input in the Google Analytics ID field back in the Document360 portal.
