Team accounts

How to convert regular Document360 team account(s) to SSO account(s)?

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Security → Team accounts & groupsTeam account
    • For converting one team account:

      • Select the context menu (•••) icon adjacent to the desired team account
      • Click Convert to SSO account
    • For converting multiple team accounts:

* Select the desired team accounts
* Click Convert to SSO account
2. Account convert confirmation popup appears
3. Select the checkbox and click Yes

Limitations
  • When a team account is converted to an SSO account, the previous contributions of the team account will appear as 'Anonymous'
  • Team account that performs conversion cannot convert their own Document360 account to SSO
  • If you convert a Document360 owner account to SSO, both the regular Document360 account and the SSO account will be available for that owner account. As a result, there would be two accounts for the same user (1 Document360 account and 1 SSO account)

Readers

How to convert regular Document360 reader(s) to SSO reader(s)?

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Security → Readers & groups → Readers

    • To convert one reader:

      • Click Convert to SSO account
    • To convert multiple readers:

1. What is an SSO account?

Single Sign-On or SSO allows for user authentication and access to multiple applications or websites with a single login event. SSO accounts can log in with their SSO credentials to access the portal/site.


2. Document360 account vs. SSO account

Every time a user wants to access their account, they must enter their credentials.Users can use the SSO credentials to access their accounts.

3. Can all the team accounts and readers be converted to SSO users?

Only the team accounts and readers with SSO configured email domains can be converted to SSO.


4. Do the roles and access change after account conversion?

No, the roles and access remain the same even after conversion.

All the contributions to the artifacts will be retained. Only the team account information will be credited as 'Anonymous' in the contributor list.


6. Who can perform the conversion of a Document360 account to an SSO account?

  • Owner(s) and Admin(s) can perform this action
  • Team accounts with the Manage team accounts access can perform this action

7. Is it possible to convert the SSO account to a regular Document360 account?

No, it is not possible to convert or switch back an SSO account (Team account or Reader) to a regular Document360 account.


8. I have converted one or more Document360 team accounts or readers to SSO accounts by mistake. How to rectify this scenario?

There is no straightforward workaround for this scenario. However, you can rectify this by deleting the SSO account and adding the regular Document360 account manually. Ensure that you replicate the roles and access correctly.


9. Can I perform user type conversion in JWT configured projects?

No, you cannot perform user type conversion in JWT configured projects. This conversion is applicable only in SAML and OpenID configured projects.
