Customize each Knowledge base assistant to improvise the user experience.

  1. Go to Settings → Knowledge base assistant → Setup configuration

  2. Hover over the desired Knowledge base assistant and click Edit

  3. In the Installation & Setup tab, expand the Style your assistant section

  4. You can find the list of assistant customization options available:
    a. Background theme
    b. assistant icon
    c. assistant position
    d. Hide assistant
    e. Hide top search

a. Background theme

You can choose the Knowledge base assistant theme color. This color is also set as the assistant icon color.

  1. Click the color palette
  2. Select a color from the color picker, or enter a hex, RGB, or HSL color code
  3. Click Save

b. assistant icon

The assistant icon appears here. You can replace the icon with an image or available icons.

  1. Click the Change icon button
  2. Choose any icon from the Set of icons tab
    (or)
    Click the Insert image tab. You can insert an image from an URL or upload it from Drive.
    • To insert an image from the URL:
      Paste or type in the URL of the image and click Insert
    • Upload from Drive:
      Click Upload an image and select the desired image from the Drive
  3. Click the Save button on the top

c. assistant position

  1. Choose the location of the Knowledge Base assistant icon on your website or application.
  2. Select the Left or Right to change the assistant launcher icon position to left or right.
  3. Enter the desired spacing values in the Side spacing and Bottom spacing field to position the assistant launcher icon from the side or bottom of the window.

  4. Click Save

d. Hide top search

  • When toggled on, the top search article section will be hidden.
  • Click Save to save the changes

e. Hide assistant

  • When toggled on, the Knowledge base assistant will be hidden.
  • Click Save to save the changes
URL mapping - List

If the 'Hide top search' is enabled, the list functionality of the URL mapping on the Knowledge base assistant will not work.

Autosave

The autosave option is available for navigation between the Knowledge base assistant tabs.


How to add ticket deflector in Knowledge base assistant?

  1. Go to Settings → Knowledge base assistant → Setup configuration

  2. Hover over the desired Knowledge base assistant and click Edit

  3. In the Installation & Setup tab, expand the Ticket deflector section

  4. Enable the Show ticket deflector toggle

  5. Select the desired ticket deflector

Only online ticket deflector(s) will be listed.

  1. If required, update the Menu name
  2. Click Save

The ticket deflector is added to the knowledge base assistant
