Localization variables are the additional information and controls shown around all articles in the reader's view. A variable here simply means the piece of text that you can set and this text would appear throughout your project when you choose the respective language. These variable texts would be pre-translated when you add the language in a version.

How to localize the text appearing the knowledge base?

  1. You can view and edit these texts in the Localization variable settings.

  1. Go to Settings -> Knowledge base portal -> Localization & Workspaces -> Localization variables

  2. Select the desired language in the Select Language section

  3. On the right section, you can find the below attribute variable:

  • Article Header
  • Article Right
  • Article Bottom
  • Article Right or Bottom
  • Category manager
  • Feedback
  • Ticket deflector
  • General
  • Advanced search
  1. Expand the desired section and update the variable's text
  2. Once done, click Save
Project level changes

The variables you edit would be reflected in all versions of your project containing the respective language.
