Log in using SSO - Knowledge base site

Prev Next

Single Sign-On (SSO) lets you access Document360's Knowledge base site using your existing credentials from a trusted Identity Provider (IdP) such as Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace. Instead of maintaining a separate password, you authenticate through your organization's IdP and are granted access automatically. This applies to knowledge base sites where SSO has been configured using SAML or OpenID Connect.

Before you begin

  • SSO must already be configured for your project by an Owner or Admin. If SSO has not been set up, contact your project administrator.
  • You need the URL of the Document360 Knowledge base site you want to access.

How to log in to the Knowledge base site using SSO

  1. Open your web browser and enter the URL of the Document360 Knowledge base site you want to access.

  2. You will see a list of available SSO login buttons on the page, for example Login using Google or Login using Azure AD. Select the button that matches your Identity Provider.

NOTE

The SSO login buttons displayed will vary depending on the SSO configurations available for your project.

  1. You will be redirected to your IdP's login page. Enter your credentials to authenticate.

After successful authentication, you are automatically logged into Document360's Knowledge base site.

IdP-initiated sign-in

If the Allow IdP initiated sign-in option was enabled during SSO configuration, you can log in to the Knowledge base site directly from your IdP's dashboard without visiting the site first. Simply open your IdP's app portal, locate the Document360 application, and click it to authenticate.

For detailed configuration steps including how to set up the RelayState parameter for direct Knowledge base site redirection, see IdP-initiated sign-in →

Best practices

  • If your project has multiple SSO configurations set up, confirm which Identity Provider your organization uses before selecting a login button.
  • If you cannot see an SSO login button on the site, contact your project Owner or Admin to verify that SSO has been enabled and that you have been added as an SSO reader.
  • If your organization uses both SSO and non-SSO accounts, ensure you are using the correct login method. SSO and non-SSO logins display different access levels and content.
