Deactivating Document360 login page

Prev Next

Deactivating the Document360 login page removes the standard email and password login option and redirects all users directly to the SSO login page when they access Document360. This applies to projects where all users authenticate through SSO and no standard (non-SSO) accounts exist. The setting is available for both SAML and OpenID Connect configurations.

Before you begin

CAUTION

Do not deactivate the common login page if your project has both SSO users and regular (non-SSO) users. Regular users will not be able to log in to their Document360 accounts if this setting is turned on.

  • All users in the project must be SSO users before you deactivate the common login page.
  • You must have the Owner or Admin project role to change this setting.
  • At least one SSO configuration (SAML or OpenID Connect) must be active on the project.

How to deactivate the Document360 login page

  1. Navigate to Settings () in the left navigation bar of the Knowledge base portal.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to Users & permissions > SSO Configuration.
  3. Click Settings () in the top right corner of the SSO Configuration page.
  4. In the Settings popup, turn the Disable Document360 login page toggle ON.

NOTE

The Settings popup also lets you reorder the SSO login button on your knowledge base site. Click Open site builder to reorder login buttons directly in the site customization. To learn more, read Login button limits.

  1. Click Save.

Users accessing Document360 will now be redirected directly to the SSO login page. The email and password login option will no longer be visible.

Best practices

  • Before deactivating the login page, verify that every user in the project has an active SSO account and can log in successfully via SSO. Deactivating the page before this is confirmed will lock out any user who has not yet set up their SSO access.
  • If you later need to add a non-SSO user to the project, turn the Disable Document360 login page toggle OFF first so they can log in with their email and password.
  • Keep at least one Owner account confirmed as a working SSO user before deactivating the login page, to ensure you always have administrative access to the project.
  • If your project has multiple SSO configurations, use the site builder to reorder the login buttons. By default, login buttons appear in the order they were created. Reorder them to ensure the most commonly used SSO option appears first for readers accessing your knowledge base site.

FAQ

What happens when the Disable Document360 login page toggle is turned on?

When the toggle is turned ON, users will only see SSO login options on the login page. Logging in with an email address and password combination will no longer be possible.
