March 2025 - 11.3.1

Document360 v11.3.1 is now live, delivering powerful new features and enhancements to simplify content creation and improve site management. This release introduces the ability to unpublish articles and categories, enhanced inline comment management, improved domain self-registration, and expanded filtering options in Eddy AI analytics. You'll also find support for OpenAPI 3.1.0, access to offline documentation, team account deactivation, and several UI improvements that enhance the overall experience across the knowledge base portal and site.

Features/Enhancements

Enhanced inline comment management

Category: Editor | Enhancement

You can now retain inline comments even after publishing an article, preserving valuable feedback. Multiple users can now resolve comments, reducing delays in feedback redressal. Additionally, you will benefit from better comment management features, including filtering, and chronological ordering.

Enhanced domain self-registration configuration

Category: User management | Enhancement

Document360 now offers an enhanced domain self-registration experience with a revamped UI and powerful new features. Users can now manage domains more efficiently with a structured table format, advanced filtering and sorting options, and improved bulk operations. The new allow/block controls provide better access management, while the ability to add multiple domains at once and import/export domain lists simplifies large-scale domain management. Additionally, a new search feature enables users to quickly find domains and reader groups.

Ability to deactivate and reactivate team accounts and reader

Category: User management | Feature

Admins and owners can now deactivate and reactivate team accounts and readers in Document360, deactivating a user while preserving historical data such as analytics and contributions. This feature ensures efficient user management without permanent deletion, as deactivating a team account frees up a slot in the allotted team account limit, making it available for reassignment. Deactivated team accounts can also be retained and converted to reader roles if needed.

Export projects as WebHelp for offline documentation

Category: Export | Feature

Admins can now export their Document360 project as a WebHelp file, enabling offline access to documentation. The exported file includes a table of contents (TOC), search functionality, and an option to include attachments. The offline help center offers the same structure and navigation as your live knowledge base site, allowing you to share complete documentation without internet access.

Support OpenAPI Specification (OAS) 3.1.0

Category: API documentation | Enhancement

You can now use Document360 to describe and automatically generate documentation for APIs defined in OpenAPI Specification (OAS) 3.1.0. OAS 3.1.0 brings significant improvements such as better alignment with JSON Schema, support for webhooks, enhanced modeling capabilities, and improved security definitions, allowing for more precise and flexible API documentation.

Ability to unpublish an article

Category: Content management | Feature

You can now unpublish articles, allowing temporary recall from the Knowledge base site while keeping them accessible in the portal. These articles will be marked as Unpublished in the Knowledge base portal, and you can choose to edit by creating a newer version or republish the article as is.

For more information, read the article on unpublishing your article.

Enhanced filtering in Eddy AI analytics

Category: Eddy AI | Enhancement

This helps you identify content gaps, refine AI responses, and enhance the overall quality of your documentation to better address user needs.

Filter articles and categories in the Knowledge base site category tree

Category: Knowledge base site | Enhancement

Readers can now search for specific articles/categories within the category tree using the filter option, eliminating the need to manually scroll through the entire category tree. This KB site 2.0 enhancement makes it easier to locate relevant content instantly for your readers.

Other updates

Here are additional updates aimed at enhancing navigation, workflow efficiency, and ensuring a consistent content creation experience.

  • After deleting an article, the selection now automatically shifts to the immediate parent folder for smoother navigation.

  • A Reset button has been added to Customize site, enabling users to discard all site customizations (such as blocks, CSS, and HTML) and restore the last published state with a single click.

    NOTE

The "Reset to published version" feature is available only for new Knowledge base site 2.0 projects created after March 29, 2025.

  • The character limit for custom article status has been reduced from 50 to 20 characters.

  • You can now choose between a button or a full search bar for the knowledge base site's search appearance. Additionally, you can customize the search bar's color to align with your brand theme.

  • The context menu will be disabled when viewing an article in code view in the Advanced WYSIWYG editor.

  • You can now view analytics for public readers in mixed projects using the updated user filter in article, feedback, and Eddy AI analytics.

  • Hovering over metrics now displays the exact value, and large numbers are rounded only above six digits (e.g., 1.2M for 1,200,000).
