A Public knowledge base site is accessible to anyone on the internet. Readers can access the published content via direct links or search engines — no login is required.

Behaviour
- All published content across all workspaces and languages is visible to anyone.
- No reader accounts, logins, or authentication are required.
- Reader access controls, reader groups, and block inheritance settings are not applicable when the entire project is set to Public.
- JWT authentication is not supported in Public mode. If you switch from Private or Mixed to Public, JWT will be automatically deactivated.
How to set your project to Public access
- Navigate to Settings () > Users and security in the left navigation bar in the knowledge base portal.
- In the left navigation pane, navigate to Site access.
- Select Public.
- In the Update reader access confirmation dialog, enter your project's subdomain.
- Click Yes to confirm.
NOTE
When switching from Mixed or Private to Public, you might want to review your previously assigned access permissions. JWT authentication will be automatically deactivated when switching to Public mode.
