Overview

Documentation is only as good as the experience of writing it.

Document360 is built for every type of content creator; whether you're a technical writer who thinks in markdown, a product manager drafting release notes, or a support lead turning recordings into articles. You don't adapt to the tool; the tool adapts to you.

Pick your editor, start writing, and publish content that your readers actually want to read.

Choose your editor

Document360 offers two powerful editors. Same outcome: polished, published documentation. Different paths to get there.

Advanced WYSIWYG

A visual editor for formatting with clicks, embedding media, and building layouts — no markup required

Markdown

A syntax-based editor for speed — write in plain text and structure content without leaving the keyboard.

Not sure which editor to use?

Both editors produce the same end result: a clean, readable article for your audience. The difference is in how you prefer to work.

Advanced WYSIWYG Markdown
Best for Writers, PMs, support teams Developers, technical writers
Formatting Click-based, visual Syntax-based, keyboard-driven
Media & embeds Built-in, drag-and-drop Supported via syntax
Learning curve Minimal Low, if you know Markdown
AI writing tools Full Eddy AI support Full Eddy AI support

NOTE

Not committed yet? You can switch editors per article, so your team isn't locked into one choice across the entire knowledge base.

Switch between editor types

Document360 lets you change editors at any time: at the project level or for individual articles, so you're never locked into a choice you made at the start.

  1. In the article/category page, click the More ( ) icon, and select More article options.
  2. The Article settings panel will appear.
  3. In the Editor type tab, select your desired editor.

NOTE

Articles switched from the Markdown editor to the Advanced WYSIWYG editor cannot be reverted. Treat a switch to the Advanced WYSIWYG editor as a one-way migration; test on a non-critical article first if you're unsure.

Built for every kind of creator

Document360 doesn't assume everyone on your team writes the same way. Whether you're collaborating across roles or working solo, the editor adapts to the creator.

  • Writers & editors — Use the WYSIWYG editor to draft, format, and publish without touching code
  • Developers — Work in Markdown for speed, precision, and a familiar syntax
  • Product & support teams — Turn recordings, PDFs, or rough notes into polished articles using Eddy AI
  • Cross-functional teams — Mix editors across your team; everyone contributes in the way that works for them
