Upgrading your Document360 subscription plan moves you to a higher tier — Business or Enterprise — giving your team access to more storage, advanced features, AI tools, and support options. As your documentation needs scale, upgrading ensures you have the right capacity and capabilities without losing any existing data or configuration.
You can upgrade from:
- Professional to Business
- Business to Enterprise
- Professional to Enterprise
- Legacy pricing plan
- Legacy free plan
Before you begin
Only users with the Owner portal role, or those assigned View and Update permissions for Billing & Invoice, can access and change subscription plans.
How to upgrade your subscription plan
- Navigate to Settings () > Knowledge base portal in the left navigation bar.
- In the left navigation pane, select Billing. The My plan tab opens by default.
- Click Change plan to view all available plans: Professional, Business, and Enterprise.
- Scroll down to the Compare plans and features section to review a detailed side-by-side comparison.
- Select your preferred plan and click Let's talk.
The Document360 sales team will contact you to assist with completing the upgrade.
If you are upgrading from a trial version, clicking Billing redirects you to the pricing page. See Upgrading from trial version for the trial-specific flow.
What is retained after upgrading
All existing projects, articles, users, and configurations are preserved when you upgrade. New features included in the upgraded plan become available immediately after the upgrade is processed — no migration or reconfiguration is required.
How billing changes when you upgrade
Mid-cycle upgrades: A prorated adjustment is applied for the remainder of your current billing period. Depending on your billing preferences and company policy, this charge may be applied immediately or at the end of the cycle. From your next renewal date, the full price of the new plan applies.
Legacy plans: Instead of an immediate charge, the prorated amount is added as credits that offset your next invoice.
